Valence Library Asset Management Transfer

The application stage has ended

Community Hubs are central to how residents in Barking and Dagenham can connect with each other.

We want to make greater use of these venues by offering them to voluntary, community, faith or social enterprise (VCFSE) partner(s) organisations to enable the creation of community assets, providing activities, support and a place to connect for residents, making better use of the space and resource.

What are we looking for?

  • Voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) partner(s) / organisations who can develop a programme of activities and support that meets the needs of all local residents
  • We are seeking a partner(s) which can ensure the continued provision of Library services, and other existing activity, while also developing the site for best resident benefit
  • All VCFSE organisations will be required to meet the eligibility criteria as set out in the individual information pack and application form
  • Please note that this space is for all the community and so we cannot accept applications from groups looking to use the space for religious worship due to the size and proximity

Want to visit the space?

We encourage all interested parties to visit the space and have a look around.

Open days are being held on the following days at Valence Library:

  • Tuesday 26th November 2024 from 10am to 7pm
  • Monday 2nd December 2024 from 10am to 5pm
  • Wednesday 4th December 2024 from 10am to 5pm
