Park Centre Asset Management Transfer

The application stage has ended

Community Hubs are central to how residents in Barking and Dagenham can connect with each other.

We want to make greater use of these venues by offering them to voluntary, community, faith or social enterprise (VCFSE) partner(s) organisations to enable the creation of community assets, providing activities, support and a place to connect for residents, making better use of the space and resource.

What are we looking for?

  • Voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) partner(s) / organisations who can develop a programme of activities and support that meets the needs of all local residents
  • VCFSE organisation or consortia must demonstrate how they will make best use of the space to create a community asset of benefit to all residents. In the matter of Park Centre, we actively encourage that this includes the interests of older residents who currently use the centre as part of the Young at Heart programme
  • All VCFSE organisations will be required to meet the eligibility criteria as set out in the individual information pack and application form
  • Please note that this space is for all the community and so we cannot accept applications from groups looking to use the space for religious worship due to the size and proximity

Want to visit the space?

We encourage all interested parties to visit the space and have a look around.

Open days are being held on the following days at Park Centre:

  • Monday 2nd December 2024 from 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesday 4th December 2024 from 10am to 3pm
  • Thursday 5th December 2024 from 10am to 6pm

Please email healthy.lifestyles@lbbd.gov.uk to agree and confirm your attendance on a suitable day, so we can plan for a safe visit.

We can not accept no more than a group of 6 in line with the site visit restrictions.
