Thanks to everyone who came together to make the Park-tivity project happen!
We had 10 activities take place across 10 parks with over 300 residents taking part.
See some of the highlights below:
JDS ran 8 wellbeing sessions for your people across Barking Abbey Green and Greatfeilds Park. Participants started the sessions off with some Serene yoga, so they could begin the session feeling positive and optimistic. As the sessions continued, the kids partook on various activities that tested their resilience and teamwork skills such such as boxing and circuit training. See how the sessions went in the video here.
Humourisk delivered two Bring Your Own Wheels sessions in Thames View Skate Park. This was a fun interactive skate/scooter/ bike event led by two professional skateboard/ inline skate facilitator. Participants were encouraged to build their confidence whilst being mindful of health and safety, they also took the time to look after the skate park plant some bulbs. With some help and support from the instructors, the skate scene at Thames View continues to grow. See how the sessions went in this here and here.

We are really excited to have received some funding for physical activity sessions in our parks this summer.
We asked residents to nominate their local park to receive FREE physical activity sessions and then asked local park users to vote for which activity they would like to see.
