We are really excited that Heath Park has been nominated to receive £1000 for physical activity sessions in the park this summer.
We asked local park users to vote for their favourite activity and the votes are now in! We are really pleased to announce that FL Women Family and Wellness have received funding to deliver gardening for families in Heath Park this summer.
This activity will encourage families to grow their own food spices in pots. Each family that attends will be given 8 pots to plant and grow different spices or even flowers that they can use at home. Families will be shown how to grow their own herbs and spices and will discuss some of the benefits of growing your own food and of healthy eating. Some of the spices are Ginger, Peppermint, Chilies, Thyme, Sage Coriander and different flowers.
