Barking Station

Barking Station will be seeing major improvements so that it better suits the needs of station users and provides a much better arrival point for those coming into the town centre. 

The station, Vicarage Field, the market, Abbey Green and the River Roding will form a major route full of retail, cultural and leisure opportunities running through the town centre. Improving the connectivity, starting with Barking station will be important to this. 

We're working proactively with c2c, Network Rail and Transport for London to transform the station and its surrounding environment as well as investigating options for improved rail services to and from Barking.
