    My name is Dr. Amit Kumar, and I have had the privilege of serving as a Resident Medical Officer during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the world came to a standstill, and fear and uncertainty loomed large, I found myself in a unique position to make a difference.   • Vaccination steward - this way please

    I currently volunteer at the Broadway theatre in Barking as a steward. Not only has this given me a sense of pride to be part of the solution and not the problem to the pandemic but I've also met some lovely people along the way. The site leads do fantastic job of co-ordinating it all and the appreciation shown from those coming in to have their vaccine makes the early mornings worth it, for some it's the only form of human interaction they have had for a while. A two minute chat for some can make all the difference.
