The CAN DO Fund

Do you want to organise an event to bring together your community?

Barking and Dagenham Council’s CAN DO fund is aimed at helping local residents start projects they are passionate about, whether it is setting up a walking group, creating a craft workshop or starting a sports tournament.

As part of round 2, there will be up to £250 up for grabs to fund your community event or project. For now, we want to know how you would spend this money. This will help us design round 2, to make sure we can fund as many projects as possible.

Complete this survey here to let us know what you would do for your community with £250 funding.

Round 1 Closed

Round 1 of the CAN DO Fund saw 17 £50 vouchers go to residents across Barking and Dagenham so that they could see their community projects and events come to life.

Here is an example of some of the projects we funded from round 1:

  • Litter picking
  • Candle making
  • A walking group
  • Community BBQ

If you ran an event as part of round 1, we would love to hear about it. Please tell us how it went here.
