Help Hunters Hall Primary pupils to get to school safely

Located on the busy and narrow Alibon Road, Hunters Hall Primary has issues with heavy traffic and dangerous parking at peak times.

To tackle these issues, we are proposing that from May, parts of Alibon Road and Rockwell Road become School Streets at pick up and drop off times.

This will create a pedestrian and cycle-only area in front of the school gates between the hours of 8am - 9:15am, and 2.45pm - 4pm during term time. This will alleviate congestion and parking problems for residents and create a safer environment for children and parents to travel to school.

The areas affected will be:

  • Alibon Road, between Hunters Hall Road and Wantz Road
  • Alibon Road, between Croppath Road and Hunters Hall Road, and
  • Rockwell Road.

You can see detailed maps here.

Please note that there will also be a School Street in front of Richard Alibon School on Alibon Road. You can travel north to south along Hunters Hall Road and Croppath Road without entering the School Street Zone.

Emergency vehicles will be exempt. Residents and businesses within the school street zone, carers and blue badge holders who require access to the school street, as well as school staff, can apply for an exemption free of charge. Residents’ parking will be unaffected.
