Covid-19 secure – service and site risk assessments for Children's Care & Support

This consultation is for all staff in Children’s Care & Support Operations. All workplaces must be Covid-19 Secure, which means every organisation must;

  1. Demonstrate compliance with the 5 steps to safer working together and display notices confirming this.
  2. Be transparent in assessing risks, working closely with and consulting with trade union representatives and our employees.
  3. Ensure Risk assessments are completed on the generic COVID-19 corporate template.
  4. Publish agreed risk assessments on our intranet and website.
  5. Undertake individual health risk assessments for key workers, to identify specific risks for BAME employees and those in clinically vulnerable groups.
  6. Keep risk assessments, including individual risk assessments under review. Managers should see the risk assessments as live documents and initially until September, keep under monthly review or as a result of new guidance. Individual risk assessments should be kept under monthly review through one to ones between the employee and the line manager.

There are 2 types of risk assessment your Children’s Leadership Team would like to share with you all and get your feedback/input/suggested amendments/questions.

  1. Service risk assessment which covers all staff in Children’s Care & Support
  2. Site risk assessment which covers the buildings we work in
    • Roycraft House
    • Mayesbrook (recently updated)
