Building and Fire Safety - Resident Engagement

The Building Safety Act 2022 came in to force from the 1st April 2023 and was introduced in the wake of safety concerns for occupants of high-rise buildings, over 18 meters (7 storeys) after the 2017 Grenfell Tower tragedy. The legislation is intended to improve the design, construction, and management of higher-risk buildings.

The new legislation also empowers residents in high-rise buildings to have greater say in how their building is kept safe. Residents will be able to raise building safety concerns directly to the owners and managers of their buildings.

We have developed a strategy which sets out how we will consult and engage with our residents that live in our tower blocks. A copy of the strategy can be found on the right hand side of this page.

As mentioned above we would love to hear more from you on the type of information you would like to receive. Also, how you would like to receive such information in relation to health and safety matters in your block.

Therefore, we kindly request that you take part in the short survey below.

This will take no more than two minutes of your time. We thank you in advance.
