Domestic Abuse Report Launch: 10th of March

We’re really excited to be launching the report of the Domestic Abuse Commission on Wednesday 10th March from 5.45pm.

The event will be virtual on MS Teams.

The commission, chaired by Polly Neate CBE, has set out to outline how the local area, led by the council, can improve its response to domestic abuse, and importantly the role of addressing culture and the normalisation of abuse within that, as well as offering a blueprint for others to follow. The commission has run engagement with survivors of domestic abuse every two weeks and focus groups with over 500 residents and professionals. The commission’s report is structured around seven survivor outcomes, based on the changes that survivors of domestic abuse told us they would like to see in their lives as a result of our work. Under each outcome are a series of practical recommendations about what the borough should do, and in what order. We think the report and its recommendations will be relevant for local areas across the country.

Please sign up to the event on Eventbrite, and the MS Teams link and further details and the agenda will be shared.
