The Women's Museum opens on March 8 2024 on International Women's Day. Join us for a party, and book a place at one of the amazing activities planned for 2024.

To celebrate the opening, our community party will take place on none other than International Women's Day, 5pm - 8pm. We’d love to see you there – you can book your space here.
Or, if you're looking for something to do with the kids, why not drop in to our special launch for children and adults on Saturday 9 March, 11am - 3pm, where you can enjoy a range of FREE creative activities. No booking required.
The Women's Museum, Unit 4, Barking Wharf Square, Abbey Road, Barking, London IG11 7HZ is a new space celebrating the stories and experiences of women and girls in Barking and Dagenham and beyond.
It’s a space for coming together, chatting and reflecting on important issues. A space for people of all identities, abilities and backgrounds, trans and non-binary. We welcome everyone.
We open on March 8th, International Women’s Day, with the exhibition An Idea of a Life curated by Nephertiti Oboshie Schandorf.
This new space will be led by New Town Culture, the curatorial project based in the Culture and Heritage Service in LB Barking and Dagenham, supporting artistic and cultural practice in the services of public life.
Be part of a new social group, meeting at the Museum, called Local Knowledge.
A friendly, supportive space for women, trans and non-binary people to come together. An informal space to share ideas, experiences and help shape the future of the Museum.
Our next meeting is on February 21st 18:00-19:30 at the Women's Museum, Unit 4, Barking Wharf Square, Abbey Road, Barking, London IG11 7HZ
