Support for shielding

The Government has issued new guidance which says that shielding for people in clinically extremely vulnerable groups is being paused from 1 August.

This means that employees in these groups can now return to work in frontline services from that date. Employees who are currently working from home should continue to do so until at least September.

If you are in this group, we will make sure that any return to work plans have your safety at heart and are fully explained and discussed with you by your manager.

This section provides information and advice about how the council will support employees in these groups.
