Care Packages (short breaks) survey for parent and carers
What are short breaks?
Short breaks are part of a range of services offered by Barking and Dagenham Council to children and young people with disabilities living in the borough. The services enable children and young people to take part in activities, develop new skills and have fun.
The services give children and young people positive experiences, whilst, at the same time, giving a break to their carers. They are designed to contribute to the children’s personal and social development, reducing social isolation and preventing family breakdown.
Short breaks are available for children and young people aged up to 18 with an additional need, complex health needs or a disability.
We want to hear from you!
As a part of the shaping of services, we would like your views as a parent/carer of a disabled child, Your answers to this survey will inform how we design our services, in partnership with providers. Please complete the survey once for every child you have with special needs or a disability.
