Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) Banding Scheme Consultation

Consultation has concluded


In line with most other London Boroughs the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) is potentially looking to seek approval from the Transport and Environment Committee (TEC) to amend the boroughs Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) banding scheme from a majority Band B enforcement authority to Band A.

Approximately 90% of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham currently operates Band B for on and off street parking contraventions. This is with exception to Barking Town Centre which currently operates Band A.


This proposal would see LBBD move to a Band A and the associated higher level of charges as set out in the table below:

Feedback is important to us as this forms part of our ambition - to improve parking compliance across the borough and in turn create a safer and more accessible environment, by deterring inconsiderate parking which would result in PCNs being issued.

Feedback received will be collated and included within the report being submitted to the Transport and Environment Committee (TEC).
