Living safe, happy, healthy lives: Your views on the draft Learning Disability and Autism Strategy
Consultation has concluded

We are developing a new plan to describe how we will support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults over the next five years. We have written a strategy and an action plan to describe:
- What challenges adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and their families and carers can face
- How people want things to be, and
- What the council, NHS, housing and other local organisations plan to do as a result.
We have worked with residents and organisations to come with six topics that people say is important to for us to focus on. These are in the strategy and action plan and are:
- Feeling safe and accepted
- Good health
- The right support
- A good home
- More job opportunities
- Having friends, relationships and feeling connected to others
We want to hear your views on the draft strategy and action plan by 22 October 2024.
The final strategy will then be sent to the 5 November 2024 Health and Wellbeing Board for discussion and agreement.
