Our plan to help people in Barking and Dagenham to be healthy and well (2023-2028)
Consultation has concluded
INTRODUCTION
Barking and Dagenham’s Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for improving the health of our residents.
The last Health and Wellbeing Plan has finished and COVID-19 has caused changes to health needs and services, so we are currently refreshing the Plan for the next five years to make people’s health better.
We want you to have your say and help us finish it.
OUR PEOPLE & HEALTH ISSUES
We have a young population and one made up of people from lots of different groups and backgrounds.
We also have poorer health and shorter lives compared to other areas in London. Some groups have poorer health than others, which often leads to disabilities that could have been stopped or slowed down.
Some issues that affect peoples health and wellbeing most in B&D are:
- Long term illnesses such as diabetes, a bad heart, cancer or asthma
- The things we do - such as smoking, how much activity we do and what we eat
- Domestic abuse
- Access to suitable housing and jobs
TELL US WHAT YOU THINK
Getting this plan right is important to our people and your current and future health, so please complete the survey below to tell us what you think.
The closing date for responses is 30th April.
