Health information and advice

The symptoms of Coronavirus are:

  • a new continuous cough or
  • fever or
  • loss of/change in smell or taste.

You should self-isolate at home if you are feeling ill or someone in your household has symptoms in line with government guidance.

This will help to protect your colleagues, service users and others in your community. You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you’re staying at home. If you are self-isolating with symptoms, please follow the council’s normal absence reporting procedures.

You should continue to follow the key public health advice that can help stop the spread of illnesses, including coronavirus (COVID-19) - see the advice in the next section.
