    Swift bricks in new buildings.

    Swift bricks are a universal nest brick for small birds including red-listed species such as swifts & sparrows, and should be included in new buildings in accordance with best-practice guidance such as BS 42021 & CIEEM. These are overlooked by the Biodiversity Net Gain and Urban Greening calculations, so need their own design code. As well as being a good idea to provide nest sites for these species, it's also in line with the new Local Plan, London Plan G6 B4, and National Model Design Code Guidance (Habitats sections).

    Social infrastructure should be the first priority in order to benefit local residents living and working here.

    GP surgeries, chemists, education centres, transport facilities, police services, shops, pubs, community centres, libraries, open spaces and flood defences need to be in place alongside any planned housing.

    Open green spaces and trees should all be conserved for environmental reasons.
