Dagenham East has seen a lot of exciting changes recently, transforming the area into a bustling hub with:

  • Eastbrook Film Studios,
  • UCL’s PEARL and CAVE facilities,
  • London East – UK Business and Technical Park,

And much more. However, the station doesn’t have step-free access, which is a major barrier for families with buggies and people with limited mobility to get around.

The station's usage has surged by 37% in three years, with 233,694 users in January 2025 alone. The station is also close to important places like Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club, Coventry University’s CU London campus, Brook 6th Form & Academy, Eastbrookend Country Park and Dagenham Police Station.






We’re launching a campaign to push for step-free access at Dagenham East station. This change will help everyone, no matter their mobility, to use the station and the surrounding facilities.

Join us in urging TfL and Network Rail to support this vital upgrade and make our community more accessible for all.
