We are excited to announce a new project aimed at enhancing wayfinding for pedestrians in Barking Town Centre. This initiative will help guide residents and visitors to the area's rich cultural and heritage sites. By the end of March 2025, a new map will be installed, along with a sign for Barking Wharf highlighting the Women’s Museum. Additionally, TFL maps in Barking Town Centre are being updated, and a mural celebrating Barking Town Centre’s historic sites will be installed.
Digital Map
Since the map will be digital, it offers a fantastic opportunity for continuous updates. Public consultation will play a vital role in shaping the map, allowing it to align with community priorities and ensuring it remains a dynamic, representative resource.
